Heloisa Fischer is a Brazilian journalist, researcher and entrepreneur.
She wrote Clareza em textos de e-gov, uma questão de cidadania (Clarity in e-gov texts, a matter of citizenship), the first book in Portuguese about plain language. The ebook is on sale at Amazon. The printed edition is on sale via the ecommerce platform PagSeguro.
Heloisa is a Masters student at the Rio Catholic University (PUC-Rio) researching with the Ergodesign and Interface Usability Lab. She received her bachelor degree in Journalism from Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ) and has a post-graduation dregree in Consumption Culture from PUC-Rio. She colaborated with UFRJ Inovation Agency.
Heloisa has co-founded with Professor Dr. Erica dos Santos Rodrigues the academic studies group LincLab – Laboratório Interdisciplinar de Linguagem Clara.
She is a member of Plain Language Association International (PLAIN), the global network of plain language professionals and supporters. It was her initiative to translate to Portuguese the “What is plain language?” page at PLAIN’s website. In May 2017, she created the LinkedIn group Linguagem Clara Brasil. now linked to PLAIN.
Before working in the plain language sector, Heloisa was a highly respected professional in the Brazilian classical music market. She was the founder and CEO at VivaMusica!.
