Who we are
Comunica Simples is a Brazilian consultancy specializing in teaching plain language. Journalist Heloisa Fischer started the company in 2017.
Plain language is becoming increasingly popular in Brazil, with many new laws and government policies. We are proud to play a pivotal role in developing this sector in Brazil.

Training
Our training programs follow a framework called Comunica Simples Method designed by Heloisa. All training sessions are delivered personally by Heloisa.
- In-company training
Lectures, workshops and courses: online or in-person, depending on the format. Get in touch for further details.

Online classes designed for self-study. Q&A sessions on Zoom.
Positive outcomes have led many clients to request further training sessions.
The Comunica Simples Method has trained over 40,000 people since 2019 (18,000 trained through a massive open online course at the National School of Public Administration).
Heloisa Fischer
Teacher, journalist and entrepreneur with 30 years of experience making complex information easier to access.
Heloisa Fischer wrote Clareza em textos de e-gov, uma questão de cidadania (Clarity in e-gov texts, a matter of citizenship), the first book about plain language in Portuguese.
She earned a Master’s degree in Design at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in 2021. Her dissertation has become a reference work in the literature. Title of dissertation: “Impacts of Plain Language on the comprehensibility of information in e-government: the case of a Brazilian Social Security (INSS) benefit”.
Heloisa serves on the board at the Plain Language Association International (PLAIN) and is a member of Clarity International, the international association focused on plain legal language.
She co-founded the Brazilian Plain Language Network.
Before working in the Plain Language sector, Heloisa was the founder and director of VivaMusica!. a communications company specializing in classical music.
